Hi there, my name is Sam Yates and together with Mel Farrow I deliver the Leaps and Bounds programme in the Redditch, Birmingham South, Solihull and Stratford Upon Avon areas.
I am extremely passionate about Leaps and Bounds as I believe it establishes physical activity as a part of a healthy lifestyle at an early age.
Leaps & Bounds Redditch recently had the pleasure of a visit from Olympic Gold Medallist Sally Gunnell OBE where she took part in two of our classes. Sally was very supporive of the Leaps & Bounds programme, recognising the importance of getting children active at an early age.
" This is the best age to get children involved in activities like Leaps and Bounds. I think it's important to learn basic skills of balance, co-ordination and agility and to be active at a very young age. It sets them up for the rest of their lives and they have a great time in the process."

"Jack was diagnosed with a weakness in his core muscles, therefore he found jumping difficult and any movement on his left side. Six months and a Leaps & Bounds programme later, he jumps on the trampoline , is dynamite in the Soft Play area and is brimming with confidence. He loves to tell us about Sam and Mel and to show off his stickers. More importantly, his Physio has said what a difference she can see. I can't praise the programme enough!"

The children at Alcester Nursery have thoroughly enjoyed their Wednesday afternoons of Leaps and Bounds with Sam or Mel. Their balancing, co-ordination and concentration have all grown since taking part in the programme. They are very proud of getting their stickers and especially when they receive their certificates. We have had children change their session to access the stimulating and physical challenges this programme offers.
